About

February 22nd, 2011

Chris D. Downing, born January 18, 1977 has not had the kind of life growing up you’d expect by seeing him now. Past events, from entering the “system” at a young age until he was adopted at the age of 13, to the loss of his grandmother, all the way to the best thing in his life, his daughter Ra’Venn, have inspired him to take control of his destiny. Chris grew up with alot of insecurities due to his family dysfunction and experiences, but his faith in God and vivid dreams of overcoming these obstacles has empowered him to declare war against his past and attain greatness in all that he pursues. Chris believes that his success now, and all that’s up and coming, is God manifesting himself through him to Empower, Love, and Inspire everyone that crosses his path in this lifetime, especially the lost, broken and hurting individuals that have shared his experiences as well.

After graduating from Glen Oak Senior High School in 1995, Chris went on the play basketball at Cuyahoga Community College for one year. After leaving Tri-C, he transferred to Alfred University in New York. After a brief time at Alfred University, Chris returned home for the birth of his daughter. Chris promised his daughter that she would not have to experience the same childhood events that he endured growing up.

Chris is currently pursuing his dream in modeling and acting. He has been featured in print ads by J.B. Robinson Jewelers, Key Bank, Express, U.S. Navy, and many more prominent companies. Chris has also played major roles in commercials with LeBron James, The Ohio Lottery, Sears, McDonald’s, Hardees, Safe Auto Insurance and many more.

Personal training is another passion in his life. He has created a program “Training For An Awakening”, which empowers others through training to give birth to the greatness that lies within themselves. Chris’ ultimate dream is to bring opportunity and positive energy to his home town of Canton, Ohio and provide jobs and other services to the community. Chris strongly believes that you aren’t truly successful unless your success goes beyond your own home and into someone else’s.
